For as long as I can remember, my skin has told stories in shades of twilight. Living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome means my skin is fragile, a delicate parchment that registers every bump and brush with a blossoming bruise. They were just a part of me, these random, chaotic marks that appeared without warning, a testament to a body that experienced the world with a tender vulnerability. They were shapeless, meaningless, and my constant companion since childhood.
Then, in 2019, everything changed.
I discovered Rahanni through a spiritual work friend. I had never heard of it before, but the name resonated in my soul with a wild and persistent calling, an undeniable pull to pursue this modality of healing. Answering that call led me to my activation with the Rahanni Pink Light Angels and Ascended Masters among others, and a spiritual initiation that felt like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t known was missing. It wasn’t a loud, earth-shattering event, but a quiet, profound shift from within. A warmth bloomed in my chest - a current of deep, embodied love and compassion that began to flow through me and, more importantly, from me. I felt softer, more open, as if a long-held tension in my very cells had finally released.
About a week after I received my practitioner certification, I bumped my leg on the corner of my coffee table. I sighed, knowing what was to come, and thought little of it. Within the hour I noticed the mark transforming. It wasn't the usual messy splotch. It was a perfectly small, crimson, bleeding heart. I stared, my breath catching in my throat. It was impossible. I had lived for decades with this condition, and never once had I bruised in a clear, defined shape, let alone the universal symbol of love.
I thought it must be a fluke, a one-time coincidence. But it wasn't. From that day forward, every significant bruise that has appeared on my skin has taken the shape of a heart.
